Had an extended break to conform to driving regulations for Roget.  This was no ordinary rest stop, but one with a boat house, a tourist info center and a hotel.  Made for some nice pics, but the highlight of the stop was the food.  Not settling on a sandwich or stomething from the store, I decided to go full blown cafeteria mode and bought a beef stew meal with a side of zucchini.  Best beef stew consumed in France.  I even bought dessert.  Washed it all down with a V8 kind of tomato juice blend purchased in Sarlat.

This was a rest stop which had no place to eat or stuff to buy...only trees, parking spaces and open land.  Some information about Carcassonne history can also be found on the grounds.  The only reason for the stop was to get "that" one of a kind shot of Carcassonne and the surrounding area around it.  Apparently we went there off season.....
