Chinon (5/28 - 5/29)

About

Chinon is a commune located in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Region Centre, France. The regional area is called the Touraine, which is known as the "garden of France". It is well known for its wine, castle, and historic town.

My Thoughts

A quaint little town that I'm sure would have been more explored....especially on the other sid of the waterway.  We did learn about how a French laundry mat works and that food a a local convenience store isn't as bad as one would think.  But just before the convenience food, I sat out a wine tasting in the main hotel building.

Lodging

The lodging at the Diderot was as close to a private room as we could get as our room was in an out of the way building than most of the other tour group. Two other couple shared the building. Great for privacy. The room was rather small, but it was cozy.
